How licensing works

Remote casino operators that want to offer services to customers in Great Britain need the appropriate UKGC licence. The Commission assesses fitness and propriety, financial circumstances and how the business plans to keep gambling fair and open, protect children and vulnerable people, and prevent crime.

Once licensed, operators must keep policies current, submit regulatory returns and submit to compliance assessments. Failures can lead to fines, licence conditions or revocation.
